Our story started in the most unexpected of ways. Mason and I chose two very different career paths. While Mason works as a "jack of all trades" in the areas surrounding a diesel mechanic, I chose to be a school counselor. To our knowledge, our two jobs had no connection. Little did we know his sister, Madison, would be the connection that started our story. Madison and I worked closely together within school and one day she asked if I was single, which later on led to her telling Mason about me. Eventually, Mason sent me a friend request on Instagram and proceeded to send me a message that sarcastically asked if I knew of a "good counselor" I could refer him to. After a short time of messaging, we went on our first date. From the second I got out of my car to get into his truck, it had seemed like I had known him forever. We talked for hours and hours, never missing a beat. It was then I knew this was something God had a direct hand in and could only be described as a divine intervention. It did not take long for us to realize that we had found our "person," and that we continued to grow in our relationship over the course of the next year.

Late one evening, Mason's family and I got together for a family photo session. Towards the end of the session it began to get dark. Little did I know that this scenario would lead Mason to develop a story convincing me that some of these photos were not "up to par" and would need to be retaken. It was during the “retake” session that he, the photographer, his family, and my family would piece together the perfect proposal without me having any idea. Mason and I were the first to arrive on the day of the retake, and the photographer wanted to go ahead and start taking our pictures. As the proposal perfectly unfolded, both our families suddenly appeared to surprise us after our big moment. On top of being the perfect proposal, we were able to share it with all of our loved ones making it so special and a day we will never forget!

From the moment we met, we knew we had found “our forever.” We are beyond blessed to be surrounded by so much love and cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
